Life with Kendra Jane is a diary-style lifestyle blog focused on life as a fat woman in her mid-20s.
Although I have my reservations about the internet and social media, it finally gave me a place to accept myself as a fat woman. I’ve been fat since I was very young, and now, at 25, I feel more at peace with myself than ever before.
This is my goal for you. I created this blog as a way to build a community for plus size women in their twenties like me.
While being fat is who I am, it’s not the only thing I want you to know me as.
I went to school for communication and education and am now a master’s student in adult and community education. I have a passion for children’s literacy and nonprofit organizations.
I might not feel this way all the time, but I love working with people. I’ve worked several jobs throughout my schooling and career where I get to work directly with the public while getting to use my knowledge in communication and education.
My transition from college student to real adult has been difficult. After college, I moved to my current town and eventually lived with my partner at the time. Ultimately, that three-and-a-half year relationship ended and I was forced to rebuild.
During this period of rebuilding, I met the love of my life, adopted a sweet kitten named Ted, and learned more about how to care for myself.
I’ve been bouncing around the idea to start a blog for a few years but have not been sure of myself.
“What if no one reads it?”
“What if I’m made fun of?”
“Is this actually going to help anyone?”
You and I deserve to live our lives unapologetically. If I help even one individual feel more comfortable in their skin, I will feel like I did what I intended to.
